VideoSlicer ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is handled when you use our free macOS video frame extraction application.

Information We Collect

VideoSlicer is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not collect any data whatsoever.

The app:

• Does not require account registration or login
• Does not connect to the internet
• Does not send any data to any server
• Does not include analytics or telemetry in the app itself
• Does not store any information beyond app preferences

Data Processing

All video processing is performed entirely on your local machine:

• Video files are read locally using Apple's native AVFoundation framework
• Extracted frames (PNG files) are saved to your local file system, next to the original video file
• No video data, frames, or file metadata is transmitted anywhere
• No temporary copies of your video files are created outside of system memory

Third-Party Services

The VideoSlicer application itself uses no third-party services, APIs, or SDKs. It is a fully self-contained native macOS application.

Website Analytics

This website (videoslicer.app) may use Google Analytics to understand visitor traffic. Website analytics:

• Are only enabled if you accept cookies via the consent banner
• Do not collect personal identification information
• Are completely separate from the VideoSlicer application
• Can be disabled at any time via the "Cookie Settings" link in the footer

Data We Do Not Collect

To be explicit about what we do NOT collect:

• We do not collect personal identification information
• We do not require account creation or login
• We do not have backend servers
• We do not collect usage analytics from the app
• We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties
• We do not access your video files beyond what is needed for frame extraction

Data Security

Since VideoSlicer processes everything locally and makes no network connections, your data never leaves your machine. The app is code-signed and notarized by Apple, ensuring its integrity and authenticity.

Data Retention

VideoSlicer does not retain any user data. Extracted PNG frames are saved to your file system under your control. You can delete them at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all app-related data from your system.

Children's Privacy

The app is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect any information from any user, we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
